Homemade veggie stock

This recipe will be a lifesaver for the time you forget to buy vegetable stock. Plus it’s difficult to find a clean stock without pointless additives.

It is probably one of the easiest things to make but the trick is saving your vegetable scraps!

I juice a lot and compost my vegetables and what I do is put the scraps in a bag and freeze them until I am ready.

Celery, carrots, onions, garlic are all great for the stock. You can add other vegetables to add a specific taste you want. Gather your scraps and fill a pot with water, the more water the less flavor you will have.img_3922

Once you have your vegetables in, turn up the heat and bring it to a boil. Then simmer for 1 hour. After an hour, turn off heat and drain all the liquid.

You can use this right away or refrigerate for 3-5 days.

This is great for any soups, to drink on a cold day and anything else you can come up with.
